G. Hunter Dies; Funeral Tuesday
DAWSON (RNS) - George W. Hunter, 81, of Dawson died Sunday in a Summersville hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Dawson Methodist Church.
Born Sept. 1, 1887, at Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lucinda Zimmerman Hunter.
Survivors include six sons, Calvin of Dawson, Willie of Marysville, Ohio, Walter of Columbus, Ohio, Robert of Plain City, Ohio, Leslie of Bluefield and Clarence of Nettie; two brothers, Hubert of Beelick Knob and John of Lewisburg; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Dawson Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Ball in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
The body will remain at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
George married Lucy Leona WITT in 1915.88 (Lucy Leona WITT was born on 2 Apr 1895 in Greenbrier Co., WV,13,64 died on 12 Aug 1957 in Dawson, Greenbrier Co., WV 30 and was buried in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV.). The cause of her death was coronary occlusion.
