RAINELLE - The funeral for Oscar C. Shawver, 74, of Corliss, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church at Corliss with the Rev. Wesley Pennington in charge. Burial will be in Shawver Cemetery at Corliss. Mr. Shawver, a World War I veteran and a lifelong resident of Corliss, died Wednesday in a Beckley hospital. Survivors: sons, Clyde Harold and Howard Ray of Beckley, Herbert H. and Henry Lee of Corliss, Herman E. of Romney; sisters, Mrs. Madge Deans of Silver Springs, Fla., Mrs. Grace Sutphin of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Sylvia Tincher of Quinwood; brother, A. E. of Corliss. Friends may call at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home here Friday after 5 p.m.
