SHAWVER, Leancy ? 94, of Charleston, formerly of Corliss, Fayette County, died Monday in Valley Convalescent Home after a short illness. He was a retired farmer and school teacher. He taught in Fayette County for 12 years. He also was a member of Bethel Baptist Church at Corliss where he was Sunday School teacher. Surviving are three sons, Oscar and Alva, both of Corliss and Lacy of Smithers; four daughters, Mrs. Delia Martin and Mrs. Madge Biggers, both of Charleston, Mrs. Sylvia Tincher of Crichton and Mrs. Grace Sutphin of Miami, Fla.; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bethel Methodist Church with Rev. Wesley Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Shawver Cemetery at Shawver. The body will be taken from Nickell Funeral Home at East Rainelle to the church an hour before service.
