SMITH, Edward E. - Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today in the Minnie Belle Bapitist Church at Corliss by Rev. Homer Piercy, Rev. Cash Brooks and Rev. Kermit Hunter. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery at Corliss. Mr. Smith, 84, of Corliss, Fayette County, died Saturday at his home after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Herma Smith of Rainelle, Mrs. W. A. Adams of Gauley Bridge, and Mrs. G. A. Hatfield of Fayetteville; a son, Hugh of Rainelle; a sister, Mrs. Golda Dorsey of Nettie; and a grandchild, Judith Elaine Adams. The body is at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle and will be taken to the church one hour before the service.
Edward married Mamie Virginia THOMPSON, daughter of David T. THOMPSON and Mary Frances "Fanny" SNYDER, on 21 Mar 1906 in Greenbrier Co., WV.
