RAINELLE ? Ernest Lester Osborne Sr., 75, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, in the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born Jan. 10, 1932, at Rainelle, he was the son of the late Andrew McVey and Daisy Neff Osborne.
Mr. Osborne was a retired miner and farmer and a member of the Little Sewell Baptist Church in Crag.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Earl, and Holbert Osborne; and a sister, Mae Osborne.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Alma (Tiny) Pozzie Osborne; three sons, Ernest Lester Osborne Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Meadow Bridge, Norman Larry Osborne and wife, Sandy, of Bluefield and Jeffery Owen Osborne and wife, Pam, of Rainelle; two daughters, Tina Rhodes and husband, John, of McRoss and Wanda Osborne and husband, Chris Redden, of Rainelle; a sister, Virginia Brown of Rainelle; a half brother, Herman Osborne and wife, Wilma, of McRoss; a half sister, Nancy Louise Birchfield of Covington, Va.; a foster brother, Junior Tincher of Rainelle; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Little Sewell Baptist Church at Crag, with Pastor Joe Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Puckett Cemetery at Vale.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
