GILLESPIE, Mrs. Nora Service will be noon Saturday at Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Harry Zicafoose officiating. Burial will be in Surbaugh Cemetery, Rainelle. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Gillespie, 93, of Rainelle, died Dec. 12, 1989, in Roanoke (Va.) Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Little Sewell Baptist Church. Surviving: daughters, Zelda Turner of Harvard, Ill., Pansy Tincher and Violet Aldridge, both of Rainelle, Elsie Pillow of Roanoke, Va., Fern Osborne of Belva, Lillian Kincaid of Perrysburg, Ohio, Lenora Highlander of Alderson; sons, Clifford of Ellensburg, Wash., Robert of Meadow Bridge; 35 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
Norah married Homer GILLESPIE, son of William Henry GILLESPIE Sr. and Frances "Fanny" OSBORNE. (Homer GILLESPIE was born on 7 Dec 1891 in Tincher, Greenbrier Co., WV,16,24,32 died on 15 Aug 1974 in Rainelle, Greenbrier Co., WV 55 and was buried in East View Cemetery, Crag, Greenbrier Co., WV 64.)
