Mina Tyree Rhodes, 69, of Charleston died May 31, 1998, in General Division, CAMC, after a long illness.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a former resident of Kenna.
Surviving: sons, James Dye of Ravenswood, Kenneth Rhodes of Kenna; stepson, David Rhodes of Fort Knox, Ky.; daughters, Barbara Williams of Ripley, Deborah Smith of Edwardsville, Ill., Rebecca Hunt of Arnoldsburg; stepdaughter, Carolyn Casto of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Ray Tyree of Mims, Fla., Richard and George Tyree, both of Charleston; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald L. Stone and the Rev. Chuck Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Hughart-Tyree Cemetery, Sissonville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Miss Mina Lee Tyree became the bride of Mr. Bill Ray Dye, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ophie Dye of Bownemont, in a ceremony performed June 27 at the home of Rev. Otho Smalley. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Tyree of Bownemont, with whom the young couple is residing. Mr. Dye served in the army for three years, being overseas one year and receiving the Purple Heart with an oak leaf cluster.
