Mrs. Biddie Tyree Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Biddie Ann Tyree, 51, wife of George W. Tyree of 618 Brewer Av., South Charleston, died yesterday morning in a South Charleston hospital.
Mrs. Tyree was active in several organizations, including the American Legion Auxiliary, Charleston Chapter No. 317, Women of the Moose, and the Gold Star Mothers of Charleston. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Sweeneyburg, Raleigh County.
She was born at Legg, daughter of W. M. Hughart of Charleston and the late Mrs. Nancy Thomas Hughart.
Surviving besides her husband are six sons, Ray of the Air Force, home on furlough; Clifford of the Army, Virgil of Elkview, George Harmon, Richard and Dale, all at home; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Young, South Charleston, Mrs. Bill Dye, Spring Hill, the Misses Barbara and Shirley Tyree, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Young, Tuppers Creek, Mrs. Minnie Tate, RFD 5, Charleston, Mrs. Mary Waldon and Mrs. Irene Smalley, both of Charleston; three brothers, John, Venton and Romie Hughart, all of Charleston.
The body is at Long, Johnson and Fisher Mortuary chapel, where service will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Rev. O. Smalley and Rev. May Pauley will officiate. Burial will be in Hughart Cemetery on Tuppers Creek.
