Rankin D. Tincher, 59, Rupert, was pronounced dead on arrival at a Summersville hospital Saturday morning of an apparent heart attack.
He was a coal miner and a veteran of World War II.
Born Dec. 23, 1915 at Rainelle, he was a son of the late Jacob and Hettie Simms Tincher.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Tincher; four brothers, Burley, Clyde, and Junior, all of Rainelle, and Gordon, Meadow Bridge; a sister, Mrs. Lennie McGuire, Baltimore, Md.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Bert Jones in charge. Burial will be in Tincher Cemetery, Craig.
